Council’s air scouring crew will be commencing the water main scouring program from Monday, 28 February 2022. Residents will receive a notice to advise when the work will occur in their area.
The air scouring process involves short bursts of high pressure air and water through the water mains.
This process requires isolation of sections of water mains and household water services for a maximum of six (6) hours between 9:00am and 3:00pm. During this time water supply will be disrupted.
Once water is restored, residents are advised to turn on the closest tap to the water meter for a few minutes to release any air. You may experience temporary milkiness in the water, however this is only air and it will slowly evaporate.
