AS we prepare to celebrate Christmas with our families and friends, it is so very important to take the time to reflect on the past year – our achievements and of course the challenges we have overcome, and also to think about the hopes and goals we hold for the New Year ahead.
The essence of Christmas is of course, a time of charity and goodwill to the whole of mankind, irrespective of race, colour or creed. It is a time to remember those within our community who are less fortunate than ourselves and to assist in making Christmas celebrations memorable and a time of joy, especially for the children, as Christmas is traditionally a magical time for them.
I sincerely thank all those who have given so generously to support the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal to assist our local families in need.
