Mareeba Shire Council has imposed Level 3 Water Restrictions for Dimbulah, effective immediately, following the commencement of a planned extended water supply interruption by Sunwater.
The decision comes as water supply risks increase due to the ongoing shutdown, which began overnight (Tuesday, 6 May 2025).
Level 3 restrictions introduce strict limits on outdoor water use and require immediate community cooperation to reduce overall water consumption.

This will also impact Ray Road, Mareeba.
Sunwater will be conducting Planned Service Interruption to perform infrastructure maintenance and install a new gate in the Mareeba Dimbulah scheme. Customers are requested to note the following times when water will not be available:
- Schedule Start: 06/05/2025 23:30
- Schedule End: 14/05/2025 23:00
