Cycle For Hope 2018

Cycle for Hope (CFH) is a 1 day cycling activity. The ride is conducted in packs of no more than 18 riders grouped by similar strength and endurance. The ride train will consist of up to 6 riding packs. Each pack is controlled by an experienced Pack Leader (PL) and assisted by a Pack Second in Charge (2IC). Escort vehicles travel unobtrusively at rear of each pack. UHF communications are maintained between vehicles, pack leaders and safety/support staff.

The ride will leave from Redlynch State College travelling toward Smithfield and up the Kuranda Range along the Kennedy Highway to Mareeba. It will then travel north along the Mulligan Highway to the Mossman turnoff. It will then travel along the Mossman/Mount Molloy Road to the Captain Cook Highway and turn right towards Port Douglas. It will then travel south along the Captain Cook Highway and turn left into Port Douglas Road finishing on Mowbray Street outside the Port Douglas Surf Club. For the one quickest pack there are two additions allocated with a total of 24km; one at Mareeba and one at Mossman. Specified in 2.4 Comprehensive Route Description
