2026 Trainee & Apprentice Positions

How would you like to you earn while you learn, gain hands-on experience, receive free training and achieve a nationally recognised certificate qualification.

Council is seeking a number of enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are interested in undertaking traineeships and apprenticeships in the following work areas:

  1. Plumbing
  2. Water Treatment Plant Operator
  3. Plant Operator/ Labourer (Civil Construction)
  4. Business Administration

Who we are looking for:

  • School leavers are strongly encouraged to apply
  • A current driver’s licence or be working towards obtaining one
  • Positive attitude, good communicator, and a reliable team player
  • Willing to learn and able to complete both practical and coursework
  • Eligible to enrol in a certificate-level qualification

Positions begin by 2 February 2026, with flexibility based on your availability.
