Shoppers will have better access to parking in Mareeba’s CBD as Council intends to regulate parking along Walsh Street.

Council will be implementing a two-hour parking limit along Walsh Street between the Herberton and Rankin Street roundabouts for on street parking.

“We have had some residents voice their concerns regarding the lack of available car parks outside Coles and Target because of people parking long-term,” Mareeba Shire Mayor Angela Toppin said.

“We are introducing regulated parking to make car spaces more readily available for the community.”

Council will commence regulating the area from Wednesday 27 May 2020.
