Mareeba Shire Council strongly supports the development of the local tourism industry and the attraction of more visitors to our region.

Council recognises that tourism is a very important sector of the Shire’s economy and supports the industry with the operation of two Visitor Information Centres.

To promote our region, Council works in partnership with Industry stakeholders, tourism operators and all levels of Government.

Council’s award winning Visitor Information Centres play a pivotal role in welcoming and encouraging visitors to stay longer in our Shire, experience our tourism attractions, and recommending others visit our region.
