About Deadly Funny
Deadly Funny is the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s national comedy competition, unearthing the freshest and funniest First Nations talent from across the country.
Open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 18 and over, participation is free, and all you need is five minutes of funny material.
Comedy styles can include:
- Stand-up
- Musical comedy
- Sketch
- Physical or dance comedy
- Character-based comedy
- Or simply sharing a funny yarn
