Mareeba Shire Council contracted Bang Media to deliver a 12-month digital marketing campaign to lure visitors to Kuranda.

The campaign aims to attract local, intrastate and interstate visitors as travel restrictions ease. “While the campaign is still in the early optimisation phase, it’s performing well. ” Mayor Angela Toppin said.

In just four weeks, the campaign reached over 21,000 people across the country through geo-targeted advertising.

“This campaign is digitally savvy with targeted advertising to get the best customer reach,” Cr Toppin said.

“The campaign is designed to enable potential travellers’ to access information for their travel decisions by directing them to Tropical Tourism North Queensland’s Kuranda webpage and from there then onto individual operators.”

Mayor Toppin said improvements have already been made to the TTNQ Kuranda webpage to enhance the user experience for potential travellers.

“We are excited to work with Bang Media to deliver this exciting marketing campaign to showcase Kuranda to the rest of the nation.”

Creative Director of Bang Media Angelo Saliba said the agency would be working closely with Council and Kuranda businesses to ensure the campaign has the best effect on influencing decisions to travel to Kuranda.
